About the role

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Mid-Level WordPress Developer to join our services team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and security of our clients' sites while building new custom projects from scratch. You'll help deliver the reliable service our company name promises.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform WordPress core/theme/plugin updates and security audits
  • Build clean custom themes/child themes from provided designs
  • Extend existing sites using PHP, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Implement caching, image optimisation, and database tuning
  • Troubleshoot complex site errors and compatibility issues
  • Use Git for version control and deployment workflows

Requirements

  • 3+ years professional WordPress theme/plugin development
  • Expert knowledge of PHP 7/8 (OOP principles)
  • High proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and SASS/LESS
  • Solid ES6+ JavaScript (and jQuery when needed)
  • Strong understanding of WP hooks, filters, CPTs
  • MySQL experience for querying and maintenance
  • Git proficiency (branching, deployments)
